Chandhok became on the second driver from India to race in Formula 1 when he made his series debut in 2010. Before making it to F1 he raced in a number of different series, including British F3 National Class, British F3 and the GP2 Series. He officially joined F1 in 2010 after signing on with Hispania Racing Team. He made his debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix where he wrecked after only one lap.
